Due to the sudden lockdown overnight, people have been left without an income forced to stay inside tiny rooms, whilst the homeless sit on empty streets and station platform with out any food. There is no opportunity to trade or beg. And whilst the government has started initiatives to help people living in slums there is no government initiative to aid the homeless in Bangladesh.
During the crisis we have been providing free meals to the homeless who do not have the means to cook or find food.
We would like to continue to provide free meals to the homeless once a week at set locations throughout Sylhet city.
£200 provides 500 nutritious hot meals with meat and a bottle of clean water.
Please support us to continue this vital work to help the homeless through the crisis.
